The operator of the Sendenhorst wind park (North-Rhine Westphalia) placed the facility under our management at the beginning of 2013.  Producing electricity to the tune of 14.5MW since 2016, the wind farm comprises five GE 2.3 sl and two GE 1.5 sl wind turbines. The annual yield is sufficient to supply 10,000 households with green electricity. A heliotec branch is situated in the immediate vicinity of the park to guarantee ideal service and short travel.

New arrival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

We have also operated in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern since April 2013. The operators of the Suckow wind farm and the Siggelkow transformer station commissioned our company with management of the two facilities. The newly erected wind park in Suckow consists of three Nordex N100 wind turbines. Each boasting hub altitude and rotor span of 100 m, they have a rated capacity of 2.9MW. The aggregate wind farm capacity available to the public grid is therefore 32.5MW. The annual yield is sufficient to supply 21,000 households with green electricity.

New arrival: Methau wind farm – vendor Repower added to the management portfolio

By adding the Methau wind park in November 2013, heliotec now manages Repower turbines as well ('Senvion' from 01/01/2014). Before taking charge, the responsible facility managers received vendor-specific training to prepare for this task.  Situated in central Saxony, the wind farm comprises two Repower wind turbines of the type 3.2 M. The turbines in the 3 megawatt class have a 114 m rotor span mounted on 93 m towers.

Another 28MW in Brandenburg

Fourteen additional wind turbines were entrusted to the facility managers from heliotec at the start of the year. Situated in Brandenburg, the Prötzel and Wulkow wind farms added another 28 megawatts, bringing the aggregate capacity under management in the heliotec wind portfolio to 300MW. The new turbines are five Vestas V90s in the Wulkow wind farm and nine Vestas V80s in the Prötzel wind farm. Heliotec Betriebs- und Verwaltungs GmbH completes these tasks in collaboration with its Brandenburg affiliate Heliotec Service GmbH, thus ensuring ideal management and short travelling.

Addition to the Clausnitz wind farm

We have looked after two wind turbines by Tacke in the Clausnitz wind farm for many years. An ageing Vestas V39 facility on an adjacent property then required replacement with a new and modern Enercon wind turbine E70 with 2.3MW capacity. The operator is keen to cooperate with heliotec in managing the facility to ensure streamlined operations.
